Evidence that the Omaha Westroads Mall was yet another gun free zone

Nebraska allows people to carry permitted concealed handguns, but it allows property owners, such as the Westroads Mall, to post signs banning permit holders from legally carrying guns on their property.

Quite frankly, I do not opt to do business within such establishments if they choose to insult my personal security.

On those occasions where I literally have no choice, I ignore the signs and 'don't ask, don't tell'. I carry concealed for a reason.

Worst case scenario? I'm asked to leave. BFD.

I would think that the question should be if business are going to deny citizens the right to carry concealed and potentially protect themselves from attack while shoping, and the signs are legally enforceable then what is the legal responsibility for the store to provide adequate protection? If the mall is full of unarmed security guards (or uniformed targets as most lovingly refer to them) then where is the adequate protection? It has been suggested that a class action law suit in a state that allows business to legally block citizens from carrying while in a public unrestricted location would open the company to liability for not providing adequate safety and not just what appears to be an attitude of let them keep shooting until they run out of bullets, get tired, the police arrive and subdue them or kill themselves. It is very likely that had a citizen been carrying concealed then only the gunman would no longer be with us. Of course that wouldn't make national news.
