Billionaire Capitalists out to save the World

May be all media coverage doesn't make wealthy capitalists look bad. This comparison of Tony Stark (Iron Man) and Bruce Wayne (Batman) reminded me of two capitalist heroes.

The movies weren't bad but I'm not so much into "hero worship" or the idea of "rich man saving the day" which is total bizarro world weirdo fantasy that never happens.

Consider Roosevelt's New Deal for example. If my history is correct - he didn't run his campaign on such reform... It came about rather as the demand from The People, who were upset with things they kept their *representatives* leashed to the point they got the real change they demanded.

So the real heroes there were The People. And things are only going to get fixed when The People keep these weasels on a short leash... the way democracy is supposed to work.

No "fearless leader" is going to save the day. Not McCain, not Obama. And that's what I don't like about those movies.

We have to be our own heroes and work together to build a better America.
