When will Obama release his grades from College?

I keep waiting for Obama to release his grades from college. Why doesn't the press ask about this? It seems strange that this isn't discussed since Obama's achievements in law school are deemed important by his campaign. If I claimed that I did well in school, it would appear that what my grades were would be an obvious follow-up question.

We clinging and God loving people don't need to see his grades. Biden has told us we wouldn't understand anyway since we don't know anybody who is well educated!

Ditto for Ms. Palin. I would like to see all of her grades for the 6 colleges she attended. (or is only 4 or 5 colleges? Her college career is a bit hard to follow.)

Especially considering how they have invested so much effort reminding us where John McCain placed in his class.

Sorry John,
I know you're an academic, but, what the hell does it matter? Winston Churchill was a self confessed failure at school, but Brilliant leader, conversely, we have seen incredibly "clever" people who are disasterous leaders (Gordon Brown for example), and people with stunning first class honours and multiple second degrees working in the typing pool.

Far better we look at their record on the job.

I believe Mr. Lott was simply making a point. I agree with him.

Why does anyone have the chutzpah to believe that the candidates' academic records are any of our damned business?

Interestingly, Brent, we don't have much "on the job" record to look at for Obama, unless you count being "present" in state senate and running for the office of president while being in the U.S. Senate.

Its not Obama's college grades that are most interesting to me, but his college and law school application/admission files as well as standardized test scores. Could we be finally elected our first affirmative action president?

This is relevant due to repeated media platitudes about how bright and accomplished he is.

I suspect his SAT's were lower than president Bush's or they would have released them already.

I agree with Anon at 4.40 PM about it not being the grades that are most important. It seems that his campaign has focused more on his involvement on campus than grades anyway, such as with the Harvard Law Reviews, which, in light of Anon's comment, makes you wonder about even that position.

Besides college grades, tax returns, and SAT scores, I also want to see the credit scores of all of the presidential candidates. Credit scores of job applicants are routinely checked nowadays by employers. Landlords also check credit scores of potential tenants. Surely the voters should be able to do the same thing with presidential candidates.

Well, it's become obvious we can't trust the media to vet the candidates for us. We're left to our own devices I suppose.

Anonymous above said, "Could we be finally elected our first affirmative action president?"

Indeed. Hasn't his very rise as a candidate for the democratic party been a massive campaign of affirmative action? Dare I say that if Barack Obama had been Barry O'Leary with the same background, experience and political agenda, he would have been an early casualty in the primary. Can liberals look themselves in the mirror and really say that this isn't true?

Barack's support appears to be largely white liberals who have bought into the idea of white guilt for past sins committed by others. That and they feel guilt over the safety and comfort they derive from the insulation that their black free neighborhoods afford. By supporting Barack, they cleanse themselves of shameful feelings they won't even admit to.

Those who support McCain anger them to no end because McCain supporters sully the cleansing they seek by failing to acknowledge and validate their shameful insecurities.

Is Senator Obama's college application to Occidental a matter of public record?
