New Fox News Op-ed: "The Trouble With Trillions"

My newest Fox News piece starts this way:

Last year, President Obama campaigned against budget deficits. Yet, now we have the newly announced figures from the Obama administration stating that the deficits numbers over the next decade will add up to over $9 trillion-- $2 trillion more than had been forecast as recently as March. Even this likely underestimates the deficit by at least another $1 trillion. Looking back, it is hard to believe that the deficits during the Bush administration totaled only about $3 trillion over eight years. . . .

If you go to this site, it will explain the enormity of a trillion dollars.

Example: if you actually pronounced every syllable while counting from 1 to 1 trillion, it would take an average of 6 seconds to say each number. 6 seconds x 1 trillion = 6 trillion seconds. That comes out to just over 190,000 YEARS! Think about that. That's 24x7x365, non-stop.

If we could just get the paper money printing presses turned off...
