Vice President Joe Biden makes impassioned plea for more gun control

Surely a lot of states are going to pass very stringent gun control laws.  I don't know about federal regulations, but we will have to see if Biden is right there.  From The Hill newspaper:
. . . “I’m not asking you to vote for something you don’t believe, but I don’t want to hear about, ‘well we can’t take it on because it’s too politically dangerous.’ The world has changed,” Biden said in a 25-minute address to Democrats at their annual retreat in Leesburg, Va.
Biden argued that the political and media climate had shifted dramatically from 1994, when many Democrats blamed their support for an assault weapons ban and other gun-control measures on the party’s loss of its congressional majorities.
“There’s an overwhelming consensus about the need to act that didn’t exist in ’94 and a general consensus about the kinds of thing we have to do,” Biden said. . . .
“It’s not acceptable for us to do anything other than try to do all of them,” the vice president said of his task force’s recommendations. . . .

If we assume that Joe biden has at least average intelligence, then we know that he has to be aware that the banning of their so called "assault weapons" along with the so called "mega clips - >10 rounds" will have no real effect on anyones' safety - adult or child. That said, why are they trying to do it anyway?
Perhaps, to take the focus off the administrations' other failings? also, in that they appear to be after ALL guns (Feinsteins' "OK, mr. & Mrs. America, turn them ALL in . . ."). I think their "focus group" based reasearchsuggests that there is now a window of opportunity to take these particular arms as they are held in low esteem by the "low information" voter. Even if Obama is not as heinous as SOME think (an open question, in my view). He STILL would undoubtably prefer an unarmed and more docile group of peasants to rule over.
I have been told by family and friends that I'm "making too much of this 'gun/2nd Amendment thing"! That is exactly the view Obama/Feinstein & Company is hoping to engender in the populace! "Let's just BAN those dangerous Military weapons - their ONLY purposer is to KILL innocents 'as fast as you pull the trigger' - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! - GET THEM OFF THE STREETS! It's only 'Common sense'!"
". . . LONG LIVE BIG BROTHER!!! ..."

Another reason the Obama/Feinstein Axis doesn't want to suggest anything really effective (like the NRA/Clinton ideas of actual armed resistance in the schools), is that they, apparently, NEED another school tragedy to push America over the edge towards COMPLETE dissarmament. The school tragedy "thing" worked so well in Australia and the UK. No sense "reinventing the wheel". I think Bloomberg even refered to such a thing. On the one hand, I'm certainly not a 'truther" about the Sandy Hook tragedy, on the other hand - just how much do YOU trust Obama/Feinstein & Co.?

Crazy Joe is telling the pols to stand closer to the rhino. Fortunately, professional politicians know that he's just Crazy Joe, and they know how dangerous the rhino is.

I would like to see an interactive map of the US (& I'd like others to see it as well - maybe even our distinguished VP)that showed the concentration of firearm ownership and the areas (perhaps by county) of firearm crime (could we please exclude suicides?). I would hope that this graphic display would help Mr. Biden, and everyone else, to see the problem areas (inner city war zones) and the high firearm/low gun crime areas in the rest of the US. Perhaps there could be a chart to one side that shows what happens to the "gun murder rates" when certain areas are excluded. I'm sure a good IT person with a lap top could create it. It's not 'rocket science'.
